Daniele Genadry

Abbey Scholar 2013

Daniele Genadry has completed a project mapping an extinct railway line that once ran between Beirut and Ryaq in Lebanon - first photographing and then creating a series of paintings. In Rome she will use the ancient Roman Roads that lead out of the city as an ideal place to continue her research into the conflation of time in usual language and experience. She will aim to produce a body of work– paintings, drawn maps and installations that present an itinerary which encompasses multiple times and recreates an ancient trajectory thought a movement that is located in the present.
