The outcomes of my residence were 7 larger drawings (That wordless instant of change), 5 paintings (Postcards from San Luigi) and a digital video (Three Things).
These works approach the notion of ‘vocation’ as potential processes of becoming and build one inter-related body.
Caravaggio’s painting remained always the unstable ‘centre’ of the practice: spreading, folding into a dedicated, yet closed space of a chapel within a church, into architectural statements of power and abstraction, touristic wishes to catch the invisible and into the sounds, streets outside as much as my associations and affects.
