I approach masculinity as a structural, sculptural and sociological aspect of painting. I explored how Italian culture and society filters machismo in relation to my experiences in Iran and USA. I carried out research on Fascist architecture and sculpture and of the use of the grotesque, religious narrative and the treatment of space in the paintings and frescoes of the late medieval and early renaissance periods.
