I was researching the mythological figuration around Neptune, God of the Sea & Freshwater, and looking into the Acqua Vergine system in relation to ornamentation. In the studio in Rome I began working on a large-scale wall relief sculpture of a sea scape. I also made a temporary site-specific installation in a fountain at the Romanian Academy, working with concepts of climate and weather, taking part in the group exhibition Spazi Aperti. This presented an exciting working context interacting with the Romanian Academy villa and in dialogue with some of the artists there. This piece opened up a lot of research threads for me. I presented a version of it on the steps of the BSR for the opening night of the Mostra.
