The Abbey Harris Mural Fund

The EA Abbey Memorial Trust Fund for Mural Painting in Great Britain & The E Vincent Harris Fund for Mural Decoration (Abbey Harris Mural Fund) makes grants to artists to create semi-permanent or permanent public murals/site specific works on walls, in any medium, in the United Kingdom.

Funding of up to £7000 is available for an artist or organisation producing a public mural in the UK.

The next deadline for proposals will be 10th October 2025.

  • Artists and organisations based in the UK are eligible to apply.

    • A mural is understood to include work on walls, floors, ceilings

    • In a UK site accessible to the general public

    • Semi-permanent/permanent duration (over 6 months)

    • Any medium will be considered

    When you are ready, send the following by email or We Transfer:

    i) A letter explaining the project

    ii) Plans and sketches/drawings for the proposed work

    iii) Images of your/the proposed artist's work

    iv) Images of the proposed site

    v) A fully budgeted funding request
